Abstract

1329040 Panel mounting DAEMPA AS 1 Nov 1971 [2 Nov 1970] 50740/71 Heading E1W L or U-section carrying rails 7 for a false ceiling or wall cladding have panel retaining tongues 8 each facing in the same longitudinal direction spaced along the rails and a punched out aperture 9 adjacent each struck out tongue 8 leaving a catch 10 directed oppositely to the tongues 8. Channel section panels 1, which may have apertures in their flat base 2 on which may be supported sound absorbing material, have edge flanges 3, 4 diverging to the rear of the panel and provide respectively with a flange 5 turned back over the panel and a wider outwardly projecting flange 6. The flanges 5, 6 engage under the tongue 8 and the catch 10 is either bent manually or is made resilient to engage the back of edge flange 4. Ventilation apertures may be provided in the flange 6 and an end closure panel may have two inwardly directed flanges 5.
