Abstract

1328313 Liquid developing apparatus FUJI PHOTO FILM CO Ltd 21 July 1971 [21 July 1970] 34311/71 Heading G2H An electrostatic latent image bearing web 1 is passed around electrode drums 11, 13, 14, 16 and between support rollers 12, 15 and curved electrodes 17, 18 and is developed by liquid developer pumped through nozzles 31-37. The electrode drums have flanges 302 (Fig.3) which space the web from a conductive core 301. Preferably a flat electrode is provided between drums 13 and 14. The electrodes may be electrically biased (optionally with different potentials) for reversal development. Rollers 41-44 clean the electrode drums. The web may be moistened before development and rinsed after development by liquid pumped through nozzles 51-54. The web may be continuously or intermittently advanced. In Fig. 6 (not shown) the web is intermittently advanced through charging and exposure stations, and continuously advanced through the developing station.
