Abstract

1327614 Ear muffs WORMALD BROS INDUSTRIES Ltd 23 Sept 1970 [23 Sept 1969] 45401/70 Heading A3V An ear muff assembly comprises two ear muffs joined by a spring neck or head band 12, each end portion 13, 14, of the band sliding in a channel 11 provided in a mounting pad 6 secured to or integral with the associated muff, and having a radius of curvature greater than the radius of spherical curvature of the base of the channel 11 on which the end portion bears so that it is in substantially point contact therewith. The projections from the mounting pad may be joined at their ends to form a closed channel as in Figure 7 (not shown). As shown in the other drawings each muff comprises a plastics moulding of elliptical dish form which is lined with plastics foam material, and has a toroidal envelope of foamed plastics filled plastics sheeting which is clipped around the mouth.
