Abstract

1327054 Decorative article M ISHIDA 25 Aug 1970 [18 Sept 1969 19 Nov 1969] 40895/70 Heading B6G A decorative board comprises a board having a flat surface carrying a picture, variously coloured beads of glass or synthetic resin adhered on to the board by a pressure sensitive adhesive applied on the picture, and a transparent cover on or above the beads for preventing the displacement of the beads. The picture may be printed on the upper surface of the board or alternatively the picture is printed on the upper surface of a suitable sheet which is adhered on to the board. The board may be made of plywood or synthetic resin and may be formed thicker in the boundary edge and in the remainder central portion, the central portion carrying the picture. The transparent cover may be a glass plate adhered on to the frame-like boundary edge of the board or inserted at its edge portion into a groove formed in the step portion of the boundary edge or it may be a transparent lacquer layer formed on the coloured beads by spraying. The decorative board may be in kit form and the adhesive layer may be protected with a protecting paper until required for use. Preferably the protecting paper is transparent. If the protecting paper is an opaque one, a picture the same as the original picture may be printed on to the protecting paper. The adhesive layer may be separate from the base sheet and applied on both surfaces of a transparent sheet.
