Abstract

1326874 Container closures KONINKLIJKE EMBALLAGE INDUSTRIE VAN LEER NV 14 Jan 1972 [15 Jan 1971] 1902/72 Heading B8T A container 1 with a plastics lining 3 in a metal body 2 has a neck portion 4 provided with two contiguous internal frusto-conical surfaces 7, 8 and a screw closure plug 10 with a sealing ring 20 that engages surface 7 and a frustoconical surface 14 to sealingly mate with surface 8. In modifications the neck and cap are provided with additional matching frusto-conical surfaces, the closure plug may be of the bayonetjoint type, and the plug may be provided with a cylindrical skirt with internal screw-threads engaging external screw-threads on the rim of the neck.
