Abstract

1326204 Ventilators BLOXWICH LOCK & STAMPING CO Ltd 19 Aug 1971 [22 Aug 1970] 40527/70 Heading F4V A register for a ducted warm air heating system comprises a cover-plate 1 for an opening in a wall and having a grilled opening, a frame 2 and simultaneously operable pivoted vanes 5, wherein one end of each vane 5 carries a T- headed projection engaged in an arcuate slot 8 in a plate 9 which is slidably mounted on a side member of the frame 2. The plate 9 includes slots engaged by projections 11 on the frame side member and a finger-piece 15 which projects through a slot in the plate 1. A screw may be tapped into the plate 9 and extend through the slot in plate 1 to secure the vanes 5 in any position. The air flow opening in the plate 1 includes two sets of oppositely inclined fixed baffles or independently operable groups of linked pivoted vanes. The register is made of metal or moulded plastics material which may be transparent, opaque or tinted.
