Abstract

1324533 Razors PHILIP MORRIS Inc 2 Oct 1970 [9 Oct 1969] 46930/70 Heading B4B A razor of generally disc-like form includes at least one cover member and a rotatable blade holder disc 10 having a series of blades 20 arranged to be presented successively at a blade exposure area 33 for shaving. Two cover members 11, 12 may form a casing for the disc 10, and a pentagonal blade holder disc 10 may support five blades 20 frictionally engaged in slots of flanges 21, Fig. 3. The flanges are supported by legs 26 of the disc 10, along with inner flanges 27. A lug 47 on a flange 48 of the cover member 11 is co-operable with notches 46 of the flanges 27 to define the shaving positions of successive blades 20, a projection 45c adjacent the last notch 46 providing a final limiting stop, while numerals 42, visible through a window (41), Fig. 1 (not shown), of the casing identify the blade in use. Resilient fingers 29 depending from the disc 10 engage a flange 31 of the cover member 12 to ensure firm support of the disc 10 and slots 28 between the flanges 21, 26 allow free passage of soap below the blades, apertures 37 defined around the casing periphery providing for drainage. Alternatively, Fig. 9, the blades 70 may be supported in slots of a blade carrier 60 provided with a single cover member 61, a screw 64 threaded into a boss 65 of the blade carrier attaching the cover member to the carrier 60.
