Abstract

1324098 Valves M A STILTNER 14 Aug 1970 [25 Aug 1969] 39264/70 Heading F2V A valve has a longitudinally movable slide 19 guided in a chamber of a valve body by cooperating ribs 24 and grooves 17 respectively on the slide and body. Bearing strips 60 or balls (60a) may be positioned between the ribs and surfaces of the grooves. The slide is formed with a passageway(s) which co-operates with an inlet and outlet(s) to form a two, three or four way valve and is biased to an end or a central position by a spring. Actuation may be manually by a pivoted lever acting on the slide end or an electric motor acting via a crank lever on the end. Each inlet/outlet has a spring-loaded annular member with a flat face that bears on a flat side face of the slide to prevent fluid flow into the chamber. Alternatively the annular member can be disposed in the slide.
