Abstract
1323372 Purifying cyclohexane/cyclohexanol mixtures INSTYTUT CHEMII PRZEMYSLOWEJ 19 April 1971 [11 March 1970] 22767/71 Heading C2C Esters are removed from mixtures of cyclohexanone and cyclohexanol, obtained by the oxidation of cyclohexane, by contacting the vapours of said mixture with an aqueous alkaline solution in a reaction zone to form an azeotrope of water with the cyclohexanone/ cyclohexanol, removing the azeotrope from the reaction zone, and recovering cyclohexanol and cyclohexanone therefrom.
