Stationary-vessel washing-apparatus.-In order to remove fungi from grain in bags, water is forced through the filled bag while the bag is so arranged that it completely closes the passage through which the water has to pass. The bag d is placed against a cavity e of corresponding shape, such cavity being formed in the wall e' of an enlargement b in a water passage a, c, Fig. 1, or in the bottom of a tank, Fig. 5, into which the water is admitted from above or below; and such a tank may be provided with an overflow pipe f arranged to limit the amount of water passing through the bag.
