Abstract

1316014 Winching apparatus C KAUFER 30 June 1971 [25 Aug 1970] 30640/71 Heading B8B [Also in Division F2] In a cable winch, particularly for scaffolds, a driving pulley 3 is mounted for rotation in a housing 1 and a cable 9 is pressed against the pulley 3 over a contact angle of more than 180‹ by a flexible contact-pressure element 10 attached at one end to the housing 1, by a pin 16, and attached at its other end to a tensioning element responsive to the load applied to the cable 9. The tensioning element comprises a deflector pulley 21 in rolling engagement with the cable 9 and rotatably mounted on a lever 18 which is pivotally mounted at one end on a fixed pin 19 and is connected at its other end to the contact-pressure element 10 by a link 17. The contact-pressure element 10 consists of a link chain 14 having contact-pressure rollers 15. An eccentrically mounted pawl 23 forms a cable locking device.
