Abstract

1315867 Spray carburetters SOC INDUSTRIELLE DE BREVETS ET D'ETUDES 8 Dec 1970 [23 Dec 1969] 58174/ 70 Heading F1B In a carburetter combined with an air filter housing, a channel 9 connects a constant level fuel chamber 1 to a resonance space 8 and a diaphragm 17 having a fixed aperture 16 is located in an intake pipe 6, fuel being supplied from chamber 1 to a fuel jetting system 4 by the pressure difference between them. The size of aperture 16 is chosen to minimize pressure fluctuations in diamber 1 and may be substantially equal to that of the intake pipe adjacent to throttle 5. In another embodiment, Fig.2 (not shown), the connecting channel (9a) extends from chamber 1 to the intake pipe 6 upstream of aperture 16.
