Abstract

1312199 Chucks SMW-SPANNEINRICHTUNGEN SCHNEIDER & WEISSHAUPT 2 Dec 1971 [21 April 1971] 56023/71 Heading B3B [Also in Divisions Fl and F2] A device for supplying pressure medium to either side of a piston 4 located within a rotatable chuck body 3 comprises a stationary ring 10 formed of two parts 11, 12 secured together by bolts 13 and in each of which parts is inserted a seal 19, 20 through which flows pressure medium from a supply line 21, a central valve 22 and tubes 23, 24 the composite ring 10 being supported and guided on the outer peripheral face 8 of the body 3 by means of a bearing 14<SP>1</SP> disposed between the two ring portions 11, 12. The bearing is a split ring of wear resistant plastics material and is of T-shaped cross-section with the axially parallel part 14<SP>1</SP> being guided in a recess 9 in body 3 and the stem being clamped between the ring parts 11, 12.
