Abstract

1311668 Load handling pallets IMPERIAL CHEMICAL INDUSTRIES Ltd 21 April 1970 [5 May 1969] 22709/69 Heading B8H A load handling pallet wherein the load bearing surface is formed of a plurality of interwoven thermoplastic bands 2 fixed to a peripheral frame 1 mounted on hollow feet 3. The bands 2 may include tapes of polyolefines especially uniaxially oriented tapes of polypropylene or high density polyethylene, alternatively the bands may consist of a series of fibres aligned in parallel relationship embedded in a matrix of thermoplastic material. The frame 1 may be made from formed thermoplastic material, in which case the bands may be heat sealed thereto, or may be formed of tubular metal in which case the bands are looped around the frame and sealed to themselves.
