Abstract

1311235 Propellants WASAGCHEMIE GmbH 29 Sept 1971 [8 Oct 1970] 45284/71 Heading C1D The ballistic properties of a nitrocellulose propellent powder are improved by storing vacuum-dried powder for 1ยข to 4 months before surface treatment with a desensitizer in order to provide progressive combustion. Storage may be in air or water. In examples the desensitizer is a mixture of symmetrical diethyldiphenylurea and dibutyl phthalate.
