Abstract

1310898 Load handling pallets JOHN DALE Ltd and J E MOSES 9 April 1970 [19 Aug 1969] 41345/69 Heading B8H A load handling pallet of plastics material comprises upper and lower decks 10, 11 each having a plurality of projecting members 15 to be received in complementary apertures 16 in the opposite deck. Each member 15 has a peripheral ridge 17 to engage with a shoulder 20 and has longitudinal slits 21 to allow deformation thereof when inserted in a corresponding aperture. Additional pins 23 and sockets 24 are provided to prevent lateral movement between decks 10, 11. The pallet is formed of E-sectioned members 28 joined by webs 25 and may have a patterned surface to give a non-slip finish. In an alternative embodiment, Fig. 5 (not shown), the projecting members are mounted only on the lower deck (11) and the upper deck is formed of diagonally extending members (31). The pallet may be formed of polyethylene, polypropylene.
