Abstract

1308357 Solvents containing tetrachlorodifluoroethane IMPERIAL CHEMICAL INDUSTRIES Ltd 27 Sept 1971 [5 Oct 1970] 47146/70 Heading C5D A solvent composition for cleaning articles such as printed circuit boards contaminated with soldering flux comprises an azeotropic mixture of tetrachlorodifluoroethane with a C 1 -C 3 nitroalkane. Azeotropic mixtures of 1,1,2,2-tetrachloro-1,2-difluoroethane with particular nitroalkanes contain 17% by wt. of nitromethane, 9% by wt. of nitroethane, 1À3% by wt. of 1-nitropropane and 4% by wt. of 2-nitropropane respectively. Optional additions are other solvents and cationic, anionic and nonionic detergents.
