Abstract

1308143 Paper IMPERIAL CHEMICAL INDUSTRIES Ltd 24 March 1970 [21 April 1969] 20267/69 Heading D2B Paper is made from a suspension of cellulose fibres containing also calcium carbonate in the form of acicular crystals of aragonite. These crystals may be made by the process of Specification 1281685. They may be used alone or in conjunction with other fillers, e.g. china clay, calcite, aragonite, titanium dioxide or mixtures of these. Other conventional additives may also be present, e.g. pre-gelatinized starch, cationic starch or sizing agents, including some that are acidic down to pH 3.5.
