Abstract

1308037 Excavator teeth ITALSIDER SpA 15 April 1970 [17 April 1969] 18008/70 Heading E1F An excavator tooth 2 is secured on a support 1 by a cotter pin 5 entered into aligned bores in the tooth and the support and secured in said bores by a snap ring 6 located in a counterbore 4 in the support to engage in a groove 205 in the pin. The support 1 may have a frusto-conical form and the end of the support and the associated surface of the recess of the tooth may be planar and extend parallel to the common axis of the aligned bores. The snap ring may be a split ring of circular or oval shape and formed from rod or wire of circular cross section and may be surrounded in the counterbore by a packing ring of elastic material that will bias the ring into the preferably annular groove of the pin, which may have a frusto-conical tip.
