Abstract

1307824 Bumpers JOSEPH LUCAS (INDUSTRIES) Ltd 25 Aug 1970 [16 Sept 1969] 45519/69 Heading B7J [Also in Division F4] A vehicle front lamp and bumper assembly comprises a moulded synthetic resin headlamp housing formed integrally with a decorative grille plated portion, a moulded synthetic resin underskirt extending beneath the headlamp housing and adapted to accommodate the direction indicator lamps and side lamps, and a bumper bar attached to and extending forwardly from the headlamp housing, the bumper bar being made from synthetic resin material which undergoes progressive collapse on impact. The bumper bar is of U-shaped cross-section and is moulded on a steel support member which carries threaded mounting studs adapted to extend through apertures in the headlamp housing for securing the assembly to the vehicle body.
