Abstract

1387110 Mounting vehicle lamps SOC ANON AUTOMOBILES CITROEN 2 March 1973 [16 March 1972] 10339/73 Addition to 1307584 Heading F4R A vehicle lighting unit comprisin a housing 24 closed by a light-transmitting cover 26 is mounted in a cavity 21 in the vehicle body with the cover flush with the surrounding bodywork 23. The unit is held in the cavity by resilient arms 28 which project from the housing 24 and have hook-like ends 29 engaging inwardly extending flanges 32 defining the opening 22 of the cavity. Resilient means, such as flexible strips 30 integral with the housing, are disposed between the housing and the rear wall 34 of the cavity and bias the unit outwardly. In the event of a slight collision the unit can be displaced inwardly until it abuts the wall 34.
