1306135 Making plates and sheets; continuous casting; working at specified temperatures VEREINIGTE OSTERREICHISCHE EISENUND STAHLWERKE AG 8 May 1970 [9 May 1969] 22430/70 Headings B3A B3F and B3V A method for producing sheets from slabs cut from a continuously cast bar of rimmed steel in which the cast bar, after solidification and as soon as its temperature has equalized within the range 900‹ to 1200‹ C., is subjected to a singlestep shaping treatment, preferably by rolling, before being severed into slabs. The reduction applied is between 10 and 20% and the preferred temperature range is 1000‹ to 1100‹ C.
