Abstract
1305247 Loom temples SULZER BROS Ltd 20 July 1970 [12 Aug 1969] 34984/70 Headings D1E and D1K A loom temple has, adjustably mounted on a deflecting edge 15a of its cover 12, an L- shaped guide member 22 which is adjustable transversely and perpendicularly to the warp, to prevent the edge of the fabric running off the outside of the temple. The finger is mounted on a support 23 consisting of a slider, which has an auxiliary cloth guiding edge, lower than edge 15a of the cover, which deflects the selvedge out of the plane of the fabric so that a selvedge needle 19, as it retracts tucks in only a portion of the weft in the outermost warp threads, Fig. 3. The selvedge may be spaced from the fabric, and have leno threads 1c on either side of the gap 20 between the selvedge and the fabric.
