Abstract

1303452 Fluid-pressure motor control circuits GEWERKSCHAFT EISENHUTTE WESTFALIA 3 July 1970 [18 Dec 1969] 32375/70 Heading F1P A ram 2 is extended from its fully retracted position in steps equal to the spacing "a" between cams 6a -- 6d on a bracket 4 carried by the ram when control fluid in conduits P s t , 12 lifts a plunger 20 to open a valve 18 to connect a main supply line 17 to a line 25 leading to the ram chamber 24 shortly after which cam 6a momentarily opens a push valve 7 to connect control pressure in line 12 to a line 12' which then holds a valve 13 closed after which cam 6b momentarily opens push valve 8 to connect line 12 with a line 12" leading to a piston 14 which opens valve 13 since line 12' is now unpressurized and then when ram 2 reaches the end of its first step, cam 6b opens valve 7 to allow control pressure to pass from line 12 through lines 12', 12" ' to a piston 22 to close valve 18 thus terminating the main pressure supply to ram space 24. Assuming control lines 12, 12" now to be depressurized piston 22 is then relieved of pressure and when line 12 is repressurized the next step is commenced. The ram is returned from its fully extended position in a single movement effected by switching a valve 27 so as to connect ram space 24 to exhaust, whilst ram space 23 is connected to the main supply line 17.
