Abstract

1300018 Valves HONEYWELL GmbH 4 Aug 1971 [8 Aug 1970 22 Dec 1970] 36735/71 Heading F2V A valve comprising a valve seat 19 and a part-spherical valve member 18 includes an actuating rotatable shaft 5 secured to which is a crank-member 14. A pin 26 passes through the crank member and engages the valve member so that on rotation of the shaft 5 the valve member is moved away from the seat. The valve member carries a rod 20 which cooperates with a pair of guides (23, 24) (Fig. 2, not shown) which constrain the valve member to move along the axis of the valve. In so doing the valve member rotates about the axis of the rod 20. A bubous portion of a sleeve (27) allows a degree of play for the valve member. Alternatively a resilient rod (32) (Fig. 5, not shown) may be used.
