Abstract

1399028 Wells &c SUBSEA EQUIPMENT ASSOCIATES Ltd 6 Sept 1972 [27 Dec 1971] 41305/72 Heading E1F A wellhead 8 for a submarine well is surmounted by detachable units 9, 22, ducts 23, 57 extend from the production tubing 41, ducts 24, 58 extend from the annulus about the tubing, externally operated valves 18, 19 on the unit 9 control flow through the ducts, and a branch duot 56 extends from the duct through the units 22, 9 to a lateral discharge duct 21. Electrical and hydraulic control lines (not shown) also extend from the well and through the units. Containers arranged about the unit 22 house pumps, distribution devices, and metering devices to permit remote control and monitoring of the valves in the unit 22, and pumps and measuring devices in the well. A marine conductor is attached to the top of the unit 22 and contains, besides hydraulic and electrical lines, rods for connection with the ducts 57, 58.
