Abstract

1395118 Screw-caps MANSFIELD SANITARY Inc 30 April 1973 [29 Nov 1972] 20535/73 Heading B8T [Also in Divisions E1 F1 and F2] A closure cap 125 for the inlet tube 128 of a flush-water reservoir of a portable toilet (Division E1) includes a central, depressed area 126 defining a peripheral channel 132 and a sealing gasket 129 having a flat portion 135 and a peripheral flange 136 received in the channel, the flat portion being joined to the flange by an inclined part 138 arranged to contact the radially innermost edge of the inlet tube 128 before the flange 136 contacts the axially outermost edge 140 of the tube 128. The gasket, in its unstressed condition, is spaced from the cap at the inner edge 133 of the channel and the peripheral flange 136 includes a groove 144.
