Abstract
1394080 Semi-conductor rectifier assemblies SIEMENS AG 15 Sept 1972 [17 Sept 1971] 43006/72 Heading H1K The bus-bars of a semi-conductor rectifier installation are assembled together in the form of a block with projecting sheets of insulation between the bars. In each branch of the installation the rectifiers 3 are mounted on one busbar 1 of a pair and are electrically connected to the other bus-bar 2 of the pair, preferably via a fuse 4 mounted on the bar 2. Supply bus-bars 10-12 are connected to the bars 1 of each pair, and a "star point" bus-bar 8 is connected to the other bars 2 of each pair. The insulation between the various bus-bars is shown at 5, 9 and 13, and the whole installation may be mounted, via insulators 14, on the case of the supply transformer. The bus-bars 1, 2 may carry ducts for circulation of a liquid coolant. In a modification of the assembly illustrated the rectifier-carrying bus-bars 1 of each pair may extend beyond the upper (as shown) ends of the bars 2 to finish flush with the top surface of the block as defined by the supply bars 10-12.
