Abstract

1392927 Curtains G CALVO and S CASALS [trading as C & C SOFT FURNISHING ADVISERS] 13 July 1972 [1 May 1971] 12579/71 Heading A4S A curtain weight comprises a strip 1 of flexible material coated with an adhesive on one surface 2, a part of the strip being folded on itself at 3 to form a pocket 4 enclosing a weight body and a tab portion for attachment to the curtain. The adhesive is preferably sensitive to pressure and heat, the pocket being sealed and the attachment made by means of a domestic iron. In modifications, the strip is coated with a pressure-sensitive adhesive protected by a peel-off backing, the weight is adhered to one end of the strip, which is not folded, or one end of the strip is wrapped round the weight without enclosing it. In a further modification, adhesive applied directly to the weight body is utilized to adhere the weight body to a curtain.
