1392368 Knitting machines EDOUARD DUBIED & CIE SA 9 May 1972 [10 May 1971] 21602/72 Heading D1C A parallel knitting machine, capable of Jacquard patterning and loop transfer, has a cam carriage 25 with cam grooves for at least one feed and for loop transfer, the needles 11 being displaceable relative to the cam grooves which cause them by engagement with their butts 11a to knit, tuck or miss by rocking levers 10 articulated to hooks 15 having oppositely projecting butts 15b; 15c engageable respectively in guide grooves 30; 31 or. 32 in mutually opposed surfaces in an extension of carriage 25 and extensions 15d pressed against curved components 29, e.g. by springs 33, the hooks 15 being selectable by electromagnets 35 which are stronger than the springs so that, according to whether they are selected or not, their butts enter one of the pairs of inlets 30a, 31a; 30i, 32a; 30e, 31c and 30k, 32e to the guide grooves 30, 31, 32. The carriage 25 has knitting feeds I and III and a stitch transfer portion II, the cams forming paths (a), (b) and (c) for the needle butts corresponding to inoperative, tuck, and knit and stitch transfer paths (d), (e) and (f) corresponding to inoperative, cast-off stitch and receive stitch. Sections 31b, 30c and 32c set the hooks 15 whose butts engage them at levels which correspond to the butts 11 a of the needles not projecting, projecting slightly 11a' or projecting extensively 11a".
