Abstract

1390927 Threaded fasteners D PERRIN 31 Aug 1972 [4 Sept 1971] 41328/71 Heading F2H A nut 20, or screw threaded bush (Figs. 5-8, not shown), is formed at one or each end with a single scavenging face 21 lying substantially in a plane including the axis of the bore and lying within the depth of the nut or bush to the extent of one thread pitch, the face serving to scavenge debris from a male-thread which the nut or bush is adapted to engage. A portion of the thread behind the face 21 may be removed as at 22 to avoid the collection of debris. In the case of a bush the bush (30) may be formed in two halves releasably held together by screws (34).
