Abstract

1390062 Anti-corrosive paint MITSUI SHIPBUILDING & ENG CO Ltd and NIPPON PAINT CO Ltd 28 Feb 1972 5 March 1971] 9056/72 Headings C3B and C3T An anti-corrosive paint comprises a resin solution (I) into which has been kneaded a ferrite compound (II) which enhances the welding and melt-cutting properties, the paint further containing 20-60% of zinc. I may be an epoxy, phenoxy, urethane or alkyd resin, polyvinyl butyral, polyvinyl chloride, rubber chloride, ethyl silicate or Na, K 2 or Li silicate solution. Examples relate to the use of phenoxy resin, epoxy and ethyl silicate binders. II may be a ferrite of Mg, Mn, Zn, Ti, Mn-Ni, Al-Mg, Al-Zn, Mn-Mg or Fe. Other anti-corrosive and colouring pigments and fillers may also be present.
