Abstract

1388468 Spray producers HITACHI Ltd 23 May 1972 [24 May 1971 (2)] 24254/72 Heading B2F [Also in Division F4] An atomising nozzle comprises a conically tapered face 20, a plurality of vanes 36 helically disposed on the face and defining passages for whirling and ejecting the gas onto the face 20, and liquid-ejecting means 15 disposed in the conically tapered face downstream of and in the vicinity of the outlets of the gas passages. The member 3 carrying the vanes 36 is threadably mounted on projections 11 of a central body 1 forming a liquid supply passage 1. Further gas is ejected from ports 23, the ports being defined between a tip member 22 and the front end of the body 1. The tip member may be provided with a protuberance (83), Fig. 11 (not shown), which may be provided with concave deflecting surfaces (82'), Fig. 12 (not shown).
