Abstract

1387032 Look-up devices O W THORSMAN 8 March 1972 10811/72 Headings G4H and G5G In a look-up device, a reference is located on a tape store contained in a replaceable cassette, in response to a word entered on a keyboard, a visual representation of the reference being displayed in a viewing window. The word is compared with coding on a microfilm to select a frame of the microfilm to be displayed on an enlarged scale. Audible reproduction may be provided in addition using a speech tape. The device may be used for language translation, and for teaching.
