Abstract
1383235 Dyeing in organic solvents HOECHST AG 18 Feb 1972 [18 Feb 1971] 7761/72 Heading D1B Polymeric materials, e.g. polyethylene terephthalate, are exhaustion dyed at a goods to liquor ratio of less than 1:20 at an elevated temperature with a homogeneous solution of a dye in an aliphatic halogenohydrocarbon e.g. perchloroethylene, trichloroethylene, the dyestuff having a solubility in the halogenated hydrocarbon of at least 2g/l and in the polymeric material of at least 10g/hg at the temperature employed. The dyeing may be effected near the boiling point of the solvent and elevated pressures may be used.
