Abstract

1381651 Tubular fabrics; seaming nonmetallic sheet material NORDISKI MASKIN-FILT AB 23 Dec 1971 [31 Dec 1970] 60074/71 Heading B5K [Also in Divisions B5 and D1] A fabric for a dewatering cloth or felt is woven with a continuous weft 11 extending in a double ply and forming rows of loops 12 around an edge warp-thread 19 which is later removed after heat setting the fabric so that the fabric can be laid out flat to provide weft loop 3 by which the fabric may be joined into a belt by a thread 19. The loops may be formed alternately on two abutting edges of the fabric along which the thread 19 extends and which may be at one or both edges of the tube or in the centre of the warp as the fabric is woven.
