Abstract

1400297 Face-to-face pile fabrics WIRK MASCHINENBAU KARL-MARX-STADT VEB 1 Nov 1972 50390/72 Headings D1E and D1K A woven face-to-face pile fabric has at least two pile yarn sheets 8, 9 woven into one fabric as dead pile whilst another pile yarn sheet 7 joins the fabrics as patterning pile and is woven into the other fabric by two weft threads 5, 6 in superimposed sheds provided by binding warp sheets IV, V and a stuffer warp sheet VI. Simultaneously with the insertion of weft threads 5, 6 a weft thread 4 may be inserted in the first fabric and, in the first fabric, all the pile warps are woven-in by two weft threads 1, 2 in superposed sheds provided by binding warp sheets II, III and a stuffer warp sheet I. Simultaneously with the insertion of the two wefts 1, 2 in the first fabric a weft thread 3 may be inserted in the second fabric.
