1380492 Geographical and universal timepieces SUWA SEIKOSHA KK 19 Jan 1972 [5 Feb 1971] 2545/72 Heading G3T A timepiece movement has a clutch for transmitting drive between two hour hand wheels, said clutch comprising a spring which engages both wheels and urges them into a selected one of a plurality of relative angular positions without acting as a friction brake when the movement is running. As shown, a timepiece capable of displaying time in two different time zones by a second hour hand 15, which is additional to'conventional hour, minute and seconds hands 13, 12, 11, has means for simultaneously correcting the two sets of hands and means for correcting hand 15 with respect to the other hands in steps of 30 minutes or of 1 hour. Tubular member 20 has 12 or 24 teeth 22 engaged by an end portion of a C-shaped jumperspring 30 whose other end is secured to tubular member 21, the parts 22, 30, thus constituting a slipping clutch which normally transmits the drive transmitted to member 20 from minute wheel 16 to member 21 and second hour hand 15. Correction of hand 15 only is by rotation of a stem (34), Fig. 3 (not shown), which rotates a correction transmitting wheel 27. Rotation of stem (34) in the opposite direction may adjust a calendar member (35). Axial movement of stem (34) inwardly from this position allows winding of a main-spring, while axial movement outwardly from the middle position allows simultaneously movement of hand 15 and hands 11-13 upon rotation of the stem. A further embodiment Fig.4, utilizes the pins 43 in a flange 42 of member 21 engaging selected ones of 12 or 24 recesses or apertures in a gear 23 secured to member 20, under the force of a spring 45, to form an alternative clutch arrangement. The hour hands may be incorporated in a quartz crystal oscillator or tuning fork oscillator watch. When stem 34 is in a position to adjust hands 11-13, the seconds hand 11 may be stopped by a mechanism (not shown).
