1377167 Railings ALCAN RESEARCH & DEVELOPMENT Ltd 24 Feb 1972 [11 March 1971 22 April 1971] 8525/72 Heading E1B [Also in Division F2] A railing construction comprises an elongate rail 33 having apertures 38 conforming to the cross-section of balusters 41, the end of a baluster passing through said slat and being held against movement through the slat beyond a certain position by abutting the internal surfaces 37 on the rail and against movement out of the slat by slidable locking plates passing into slats 40 opening into the axial end of the baluster.
