Abstract

1376798 Folding edges P E BURTON 19 Dec 1972 [29 Dec 1971 (2)] 58502/72 Heading B5K [Also in Division D1] A sheet of material 35 being moved parallel to its edge by a belt 55a has its edge turned over by a portion 74 of the belt which is itself folded over by a guide 72. As shown the edge of the sheet passes under a presser foot 70 and is folded over by a fixed guide 68, 69, 71 before reaching the folded over portion of the belt 55a. The double folded edge then passes below member 75 and the belt edge allowed to uncurl. The folded edge is later sewn.
