Abstract
1376688 Electromagnetic shutter control SEIKO KOKI KK 15 Dec 1972 [16 Dec 1971] 58057/72 Heading G2A A shutter-control mechanism comprises an electromagnet and armature, a control member connected to the armature and having biasing means which tends to urge the armature away from the electromagnet, and releasable armature biasing means opposed to and greater than the force exerted on the armature by the control member-biasing means, operation of the control member thereby being unaffected by play in the connection between the armature and control member. In Fig. 2, release operation of a lock lever 6 causes a driving plate I to rotate anticlockwise until temporarily stopped by a spring- biased control member 53 carried on a pivot 14 and pivotally connected at 16 to an apertured armature 17 having play counteracted, when electromagnet 20 is energized and plate 1 is in the position shown, by a lever 21 also carried on pivot 14 and having leaf spring-biasing means 18. In Fig. 3, release operation of a lever 63 allows upward movement of a spring-biased aperture opening plate 61 and subsequent deenergizing of an electromagnet to allow upward movement of a spring-biased aperture closing plate 71 connected at 73 to an apertured armature 69 having play at 73 counteracted, until upward movement of plate 61, by a spring- biased lever 67 mounted on plate 61 at pivot 66. In Fig. 4, depression of a plate 81 effects clockwise rotation of a spring-biased play-counteracting lever 85 from contact with an apertured armature 87 to which at 92 is pivotally connected a spring- biased control lever 91 which may start the shutter or control its exposure time.
