Abstract

1376658 Upholstered seats UNIVERSAL OIL PRODUCTS CO 20 March 1972 12866/7: Heading A4M A vehicle seat comprises a foam cushion 13 provided in its top surface with a groove which delineates the surface into a central portion 14 and peripheral bolster portions 15, 16, 16,' a lower wire 21 embedded in the cushion and following the contour of the groove, a seat cover 18 provided on its underside with a sleeve 19 located in the groove, an upper wire 20 enclosed by the sleeve 19, and a plurality of hog rings 23 securing together the wires 20, 21. The cushion is supported on sinuous springs 38 carried by a frame 17 to which the edges of the cover 18 are secured by further hog rings 39.
