1375820 Puffing tobacco PHILIP MORRIS Inc 13 Dec 1971 [21 Dec 1970] 25868/74 Heading A2C Tobacco is impregnated with from 1% to 40% by weight, based on the dry weight of the tobacco, of sulphur dioxide in gaseous or liquid form and the impregnated tobacco is submitted to conditions under which it puffs, e.g. heat and/or reduced pressure, preferably by exposing it to a stream of a heated air/steam mixture.
