1374760 False floors M A HARVEY 29 Nov 1971 [18 Dec 1970] 60253/70 Heading E1W A false floor comprises square or rectangular panels (not shown) secured or supported at opposite edges on parallel beams 6 held above the sub floor 3 by screw threaded supports 4 which project through apertures 5 in the beams and are fixed to the beams by nuts 8, 10 and washers 7, 9. The panels may be of plywood and may be covered with carpet, plastics, rubber or linoleum adhered to their upper face. The beams 6 may be formed in modular lengths with a tongue at one end engaging a complementary groove in the opposite end of a longitudinally adjacent beam.
