Abstract

1374269 Hay making C VAN DER LELY NV 24 Nov 1971 [25 Nov 1970] 37482/73 Divided out of 1374268 Heading A1F A rake wheel for the haymaking machine described in Specification 1374268 has tines 16 supported on a central hub 22 solely by the clamping action of profiled plates 14 between which the tines are also clamped. The plates clamp on to the hub supported on a stub shaft 8, and may be reinforced by radially, extending stiffening ridges 21. The tines are formed in pairs and extend through a felly 17 as shown in Figure 2. In embodiments the hub may comprise two spaced ball bearings and the tines may be formed singly with their inner ends being bent to bear against one another and against a stop defined by the profiles of the plates.
