Abstract
1372756 Radiological apparatus GES FUER KERNFORSCHUNG mbH 25 Jan 1972 [13 March 1971] 3371/72 Heading H5R [Also in Divisions G6 and H1] Neutron-therapy apparatus consists of a neutron source (see Division H1) enclosed in a shield 130 and mounted above a couch 138 in a semi-cardanic suspension. The neutrons are focused by cone 128 and a cylindrical or weakly conical collimation tube consisting of replaceable sections 129. The shield may be made of steel, or steel combined with fibreboard, concrete, titanium hydride, lithium hydride or zirconium hydride. The source may swivel about the orthogonal axes 132, 133. The couch is supported by telescopic arms 134 and may swivel about pivots 135.
