Abstract

1372031 Ladder platform GEORGE GHAUT & SONS Ltd 11 Nov 1971 [1 Oct 1970] 46689/70 Heading E1S A ladder platform device comprises a pair of laterally spaced rigid triangular frames 12 interconnected e.g. by tie-rods and each having at one corner a hook 14 engageable over a rung 10a of a ladder and having a portion 12a for bearing against the next lower rung, and a platform 17 hingedly connected to the frames. The platform is shown resting on the upper sides of the frames, and may be swung upwardly against the ladder (position 20) to allow a user to climb past, and the platform is cut away at its pivoted edge to allow access to the adjacent rung. The pivot connection is made with little clearance, so that the platform cannot separate from the frames in use if the pivot at one side breaks.
