Abstract

1370428 Moulding gear-wheels DAVALL GEAR CO Ltd 4 Nov 1971 [1 Oct 1970] 24145/73 Divided out of 1370427 Heading B5A [Also in Division F2] A gear-wheel, not shown, or pulley, Fig. 2, comprises an insert 1 embedded in an injection moulded plastics rim 2 comprising inner and outer portions 13, 12 connected by a web 16 having a thickness in the axial direction equal to the radial thickness of the portions 13, 12. The pulley comprises two nylon or acetyl parts 2, 3 welded together and having teeth 4 to engage a toothed belt. The insert 1 is a metal sleeve having a threaded hole 7 for a grub screw and may be knurled or splined for keying to the rim 2. Specification 1,370,427 is referred to.
