1298298 Positive clutches TOYOTO JIDOSHA KOGYO KK 19 April 1971 [15 April 1970] 27123/71 Heading F2C In a friction synchronized positive clutch for a change speed gear wherein gear teeth 20 on a combined clutch and gear element 21 have an external diameter which is greater than the internal diameter of clutch teeth 18, aninternally toothed removable stop ring 25 is positioned in a gap 19 between the teeth 18, 20 to prevent a clutch sleeve 5 from moving into engagement with the gear teeth 20. The stop ring 25 may be split to facilitate assembly and disassembly.
