Abstract

1368791 False twisting LEESONA CORP 8 Sept 1971 [10 Sept 1970] 41947/71 Heading D1D A strand is twisted in a twisting zone provided with a twisting spindle, the strand passing in a loop within the zone and being positionable in an inactive position disengaged from the spindle with the spindle rotating, and in an active position where the strand is engaged with the twisting spindle to impart twist to the strand. As shown, the yarn is initially threaded up so that it passes twice through the false twisting device and around upper and lower axial guides 70, see continuous line 90-92. When the false twisting device is rotating the yarn is released from the guides 70 so as to bear against the friction twisting rings 50, 52. The twisting rings are mounted in rotatable end caps 38 which can swing with the whole unit to bear against drive belt 36.
